Collaboration with Clarivate Analytics

Collaborating with Clarivate Analytics, the Malaysia Association of Research Managers and Administrators (MyRMA) Plan to Enhance the Research Performance Evaluation Skill Among Managers and Administrators

Melaka, Malaysia 11 February 2020 – The Malaysia Association of Research Managers and Administrators (MyRMA) and Clarivate Analytics are pleased to announce that they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The MoU signing took place at the Chancellor Hall, Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM).

Under the MOU, the two organisations will work together to establish a platform for sharing knowledge and best practices in research management by conducting research management training workshops for the research managers and administrators. Both organisations aim to create better awareness and understanding of metrics for measuring research performance at individual, group, departmental and university levels.

“MyRMA has aspiration in establishing a platform for sharing knowledge and best practices of research management through conducting research management training workshops to promote and enhance the analytics skills on a national level,” said Dr Tan Hsiao Wei, Secretary MyRMA.

The MyRMA attaches great importance to its collaboration with Clarivate, gaining a major partner in the effort to promote analytics skills on a national level. Their joint efforts to share best practices in benchmarking and analytics with research managers and administrators will also provide opportunities to enhance and improve related skills and competencies across the Malaysian research ecosystem.

The MoU was signed by the International Controller of Clarivate Analytics, Mr. Andrew Wright and President of the MyRMA, Professor Dr. Shaliza Ibrahim, and witnessed by the Associate Professor Dr Mohd Warikh Bin Abd Rashid, acting Director, Centre for Research and Innovation Management (CRIM), UTeM.
